Production Manager – High Volume Plastics Lead day-to-day operations for a leading company in Chicago Western SuburbsResponsibilities (include but not limited to):Direct and coordinate manufacturing activities to drive continuous improvement in the areas of safety, quality, productivity and customer satisfaction.Provide leadership to supervisors and employees, and ensure they have the proper tools to perform their job safely and efficiently.Manage the department, including budget, safety, employee development and motivation, training, organizational goals and objectives, planning, organizing, integrating and measuring the work performed.Interface with customers and suppliers. Visits both as necessary.Coordinate with the preventative maintenance, to prioritize maintenance work orders in an effort to improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and downtime.Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:3+ years of management experience in operations, maintenance, engineering and/or process improvement roles including managing teams of people.Experience working in a Lean environment; embrace continuous improvement / Six Sigma. Black or Green Belt certification a plus.Strong financial acumen including an understanding of the budgeting process and how they relate to KPIs.Exceptional leadership, change management and communication skills.Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills.Bachelor degree in engineering or operations management with 3 years supervisory experience in manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Are you a close match?
