We are seeking an Engineering Manager to join the team within our eastern region. The Manager will be responsible for overall management for the creation, utilization and optimization of the Regional Engineering program, which is designed to facilitate the company’s execution of large scale infrastructure programs. The position will be focused on developing long term, sustaining programs and tools that support the planning, design, construction and operation of the company’s wireless infrastructure. Excellent compensation and benefits plansESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES• In collaboration with the Vice President of Network Engineering, develop a Regional Engineering strategy plan including program management functions supporting a national operation.• Manage Charter, SLA’s, KPIs, Rules, Tools and Personnel for the following: RF planning, design, and monitoring Backhaul planning, design and monitoring• Advise the management team on key regional planning issues and make recommendations on important business decisions, risks and threats.• Develop regional relationships and interfaces with internal and external customers to ensure high performance delivery and timely resolution of issues.• Ensure regional internal and external relationships at a strategic and tactical level including managing expectations on delivery capabilities and timing of projects.• Facilitate customer-specific governance meetings managing project portfolio and resolution of issues.• Establish operational processes / process improvement plans to align with Mobilitie’s national operational model.• Ensure quality control of all delivery of services including substantive and back-office work.• Set operational and / or performance goals for the department which are aggressive, achievable and tied to long-term goals• Establish and monitor performance reporting systems• Monitor department performance against performance goals to ensure that progress is being madeAssist VP of Network Engineering to develop financial project controls and tools with company's finance groupEnsure Regional Engineering is run efficiently, and with clear return on investment criteria for staffing, tools and other overheads.Ensure region projects are executed with strict project financial controlsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline. Advanced degree preferred.• Minimum seven to ten (7-10) years Telecommunications Experience• Deep Technical Understanding/Ability; Strong Interpersonal and Verbal Communication Skills; High Level of Organization and Scheduling Abilities; Microsoft Excel Proficiency; Desire to Succeed and Learn New Skills.
