The qualified applicant will become part of Comtech PST’s engineering team with the main focus on Analog, Power Management/Distribution and Digital sub-assembly development, debugging and testing. These sub-assemblies support our High Power RF Amplifier products. Responsible for solving medium complex engineering problems in one or more phases of a development engineering project involving the design development, fabrication, and testing of devices or systems. Works under the general supervision of senior engineering management.The individual must be comfortable with working in a team-focused, collaborative environment and participate in all tasks relating to implementation, integration & testing. This position requires a self-starter who is able to self-manage based on what the project team identifies as priorities and flexible enough to succeed in a dynamically changing work environment. The applicant must also have excellent communication and collaborative skills.Roles and Responsibilities: · Development, debugging and testing of analog, digital & power management/distribution hardware.· Generation of applicable documentation: Test procedures/Datasheets & Update schematics & Assembly drawings· Interfacing with digital engineers, lead engineer, RF engineers and production test technicians.· Additional responsibilities may be assigned commensurate with performance or due to business needs.Qualifications· Bachelor’s Degree or higher· 5-7 Years minimum of applicable work experience (preferred 7+ years)· Understanding of basic Digital, Analog and DC/DC circuit principles· Familiar with basic test equipment such as Power supplies/DVM/Oscilloscopes/Pulse Generators· Experience with authoring and debugging VHDL & C code· Knowledge and application of CPLD/FPGA development tools (Xilinx/Altera)· Graphical User Interface (GUI) development tool application (Labview/Labwindows)· Experience with various micro-controller designs (PIC/Renesas/TI)· Familiarity with peripheral interfaces (SPI/I2C/UART/Ethernet)· RF Familiarity· Due to government contracts and ITAR regulations, must be a US Citizen or permanent Resident
