Our company has over 40 group homes and two schools located through Central and Southern New Jersey. We would like you to join us to support & mentor chidlren with special needs.We are currently looking to fill several FULL TIME Special Education 1:1 One-to-One positions with a CDL license at our Jean M Manfra School, who will be responsible for the overall treatment, quality of life and well-being of individuals assigned. You must be able to provide a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment at all times while following company and licensing guidelines, Policies and Procedures. You will actively be involved in each individual's educational and treatment programming in order to assist in achieving independent, vocational or habilitation goals as per IEP, BIP, and IHP.Requirements:AA/AS/AAS or BA/BS in Special Education or related field (i.e. psychology) preferredCDL Class C with Passanger and School EndorsementHigh School diploma/GED6 months min. experience working with adolescents and/or adults with special needs (i.e. Developmental Disabilities, Mental illness), and the ability to maintain a therapeutic atmosphereA valid driver's licenseMust pass drug screen, physical and background checkPatience, excellent communication and basic computer skillsComprehensive Benefits Package OfferedJob DescriptionProvide for the health, safety, care, and location of all assigned consumers until their supervision responsibilities are transferred to another appropriate staff memberServe as an appropriate role modelUnderstand & follow the company's philosophy, policies, program structure & routineActively involved and engaging in off-ground activities (class trips, appointments, transportation, etc.)Supervise and participate with his/her assigned consumer(s) in all scheduled activitiesAware of reporting responsibilities regarding abuse, neglect, exploitation and misappropriationReview, understand, and implement all current, approved IEP, ITPs, and BIPsProvide maintenance of consumer and building security and safetyPosition Detail: Full time position 8a-4:00p Monday-Friday. There is a manadatory Two week paid training M-F 8a-4:30p.
